In addition to writing and teaching, Joe plays multiple brass instruments including tenor and bass trombone, baritone, and tuba. He plays or has played with many high profile artists, such as Dave Holland, Donny McCaslin, Grace Kelly, Leo P, The Elovaters, The 8-bit big band, MOJO, and The Plain White T's.
